‘I have been in the music industry for 43 years but getting Sarkodie on my song is my biggest breakthrough’ – Yaw Sarpong

In the early hours of today, gospel legend Yaw Sarpong together with his Asomafo band released a song they featured rapper Sarkodie on.

The song which is titled ‘Ahobrase3‘ is literally translated as Humility. After the release of the song, many have commended the duo for the great musical piece which aims at imbibing in people the need to lead a humble life.

In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s DayBreakHitz Show, Yaw Sarpong expressed satisfaction at the work he has done with Sarkodie.

He stated that although he has been in the music industry for long, his greatest dream was to feature Sarkodie on a song.

It is a blessing for me to join @sarkodie on a song. I have been in the music industry for 43 years and I think God has now given me my breakthrough. I am 57 years old now, he said.

Yaw Sarpong sees this feature as a breakthrough that he will cherish for long. Sarkodie also did well by sounding a clarion call to all to be reminded of death and not live as though they are immortal.

Sarkodie also advised that man must not rely on riches and despise men because when all is said and done, one will need men to even dig his grave. Yaw Sarpong and the Asomafo Band sang a beautiful chorus to spice up the song.
